“The use of spontaneous brush strokes is primary to my work. A contrast to the apparent movement of the paint is created by the use of structured segments. The viewer’s senses are further manipulated by the use of vivid fluorescent's. Whether or not my work is influenced by my own subconscious is open to interpretation.”

I am an artist and teacher living and working in Manchester, England. I recently completed a BA (Hons) Fine Art Degree and PGCE in Art & Design at Manchester Metropolitan University. I work mainly using acrylics. Originally, I applied direct influence from music, but eventually my work has evolved into standalone pieces. I have been told that my paintings sometimes resemble natural phenomena, such as agate, geodes, marble and even the surface of vinyl records.
