Urmston has a rich heritage of parks and greenspaces. Urmston Meadows is a short walk from the town centre and is located on the southern fringes of Urmston close to the River Mersey. The meadow pastures, woodland paths, pond and ditches provide ideal habitat for wildlife and a peaceful place for visitors to unwind. I have lived close to the meadows for my whole life and love exploring the various trails and paths. This is a small section of woodland that includes a variety of different trees such a the Birch seen here. This was taken just as the morning mist was about to disperse revealing the willow bushes in the background.
